Africa

Major taste characteristics: High acidity, winey,
can be fruity

  • Kenya: Sparkling acidity, winey
  • Yemen and Ethiopia: Overarching wildness
  • Other Arabicas: Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Zimbabwe. (These coffees can be difficult to find due to political unrest, growing conditions

 

Indonesia

Major taste characteristics: Funk and body, earthy qualities

  • Celebes (Sulawesi): Famous Indonesian
    body, mushroomy flavors, herbal finesse.
  • Java: Spicy and full bodied.
